What is Power Vinyasa Yoga?
Power Vinyasa Yoga, also known as Power Yoga is a challenging, fitness based approach to yoga. Taking inspiration from the Ashtangha style of yoga with a flow though the Vinyasa and series if sequences. In a Power Vinyasa Yoga class your teacher has the flexibility to create a dynamic and organic sequence tailored for their student’s needs. This style of yoga is beneficial for students looking for a physical practice with a balance of strength and flexibility. Power Yoga enhances stamina, flexibility, posture and mental focus. Like all physical activities, it also relieves tension and releases toxins through sweat. You can expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work.
Our Beginners classes are designed for complete beginners or those coming back into practice. Focusing on the principles of the practice, breath, alignment & building a solid foundation of strength and flexibility. You will use props to support postures and encourage flexibility.
In our Intermediate class you will build on the foundations of your practice focusing on the principles of breath, alignment, strength and flexibility. Postures become more challenging and with increased strength and flexibility your teacher will encourage you to go further into the posture offering variations and using props to build postures. These classes are exciting, challenging and great for those who are ready to take it to the next level.
